المنح الدراسية… أمانة في أعناقنا

لا تعجب أن قلت لك أن حضارتنا الإسلامية الذهبية صعدت بذلك الشيء… و اختطفها منا الغرب بذلك الشيء.

قد يظن البعض أن ذلك الشيء هو من قبيل الكشوفات الجغرافية أو الحروب الطاحنة تحت مسمى “الفتوحات الإسلامية” أو “الحروب الصليبية”، لكن لو رجعنا لنسأل: كيف استطاع كل طرف أن يقوم بالكشوفات الجغرافية، وأن يصنع أحدث الأسلحة المتطورة مستفيد من خبرات الطرف الآخر؟
أترك الجواب في اهتمام النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بالبعثات إلى البلدان الأخرى التي تبعد عنهم مسيرة أشهر، فأول بعثة كانت إلى جرش باليمن، حيث أرسل – صلى الله عليه وسلم – عروة بن مسعود وغيلان بن سلمة – رضي الله عنهما – لتعلم صناعة الدبابة (آلة خشبية محصنة فيها رجال، مهمتهم ثقب الحصون) وقد عادت هذه البعثة بنجاح حيث تم صنع أول دبابة في حصار أهل الطائف سنة 8هـ.

وقد كان في مقابل ذلك (عصر الظلام الأوروبي) الذي ساده الجهل ومحاربة الكنيسة للعلم بحجة مخالفة العلم للإنجيل، ومع الثورة الدينية والفكرية والتي تمثل البعثات العلمية أهم ظواهرها، خرج الأوروبيون من مستنقع الظلام إلى شمس النهضة، حيث استفادوا من التراث العلمي للمسلمين ومركزه الشهير آنذاك في قرطبة “عاصمة الأندلس”، وفي ذلك يقول المستشرق الانجليزي هنري جورج فارمر: أن عددا متزايداً من العلماء أدركوا أن تأثير الحضارة الإسلامية ككل في أوروبا وفي العصور الوسطى كان هائلا في مجالات مثل: العلوم الإسلامية، والفلسفة الإسلامية، وعلم الكلام، والأدب العربي، والجماليات، وقد تم الاعتراف بذلك من قبل المؤرخين.

For our part, it is necessary to be proud of our values and religion wherever we go, so as not to appear devoid of a glorious past, and to be in a miserable present, but rather to draw inspiration from those who came before us in the fields of knowledge.
