Azerbaijan offers 40 scholarships for 2019

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on its official website that it is offering 40 scholarships to OIC and Non-Aligned Movement countries. Applications close in mid-February 2019.

Scholarships are offered for all academic degrees, in three languages: English, Russian, and Azerbaijani, and in all specializations in 20 universities, including 3 universities with a high academic ranking in QS BritishThey are: Baku State University, andBaku Engineering University, andKhazar University.

The Ministry's International Development Agency has set a set of conditions for applicants, the most prominent of which are: academic certificates with transcripts, a CV, a valid passport, a medical examination for epidemic diseases and immunodeficiency, a certificate of English language proficiency for applicants to study there, and a letter of motivation.  The Ministry stated that the initial nomination of applicants must be officially made by the relevant authorities in the applicant's country (the Ministry of Education in his country, his country's embassy abroad), and nominations must be submitted to the embassy or Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Azerbaijan.

If accepted, candidates who pass the initial screening will be contacted for a Skype interview, with the winners selected by July 2019.

The winners will receive a comprehensive scholarship that includes visa exemption, flight tickets, a monthly stipend of 800 Azerbaijani manats (equivalent to 470 US dollars), medical insurance, and housing.
