More than 40,000 paper books and 80,000 digital books in the mosque library

Science is the cornerstone of building the future, and religion is the regulatory system that guides life in the best possible way, free from excesses. When science and religion combine, they form a powerful force, enabling society to advance its living standards and sublime morals. This can be achieved by establishing multidisciplinary libraries that explain and interpret religion. An example of this is the library of the Prophet's Mosque.

The Library of the Prophet's Mosque is considered one of the most famous religious and scientific libraries, due to its geographical location, the Prophet's Mosque, and its significant and significant role in the collections of students, researchers, interested parties, and other visitors and frequenters of this library.

The Prophet's Mosque Library was established in 1352 AH in one of the halls of the Prophet's Mosque. It was later expanded and developed to include three halls on the second floor of the same mosque. The library contains 43,000 books, divided into 71 categories, and translated into 36 different languages.

The library comprises two separate sections, one for men and the other for women. Each section offers its services in a distinctive manner that keeps pace with scientific information developments, which in turn helps provide users – of all ages and educational levels – with the religious, scientific, and other independent information they need.

The Library of the Prophet's Mosque also offers a variety of distinguished services to its visitors, such as copying services of all kinds, whether for manuscripts, books, references needed by students, various studies, master's theses, and doctoral dissertations. It also provides the books that visitors need on any subject they want, in the fastest possible way without delay. In addition, there are halls dedicated to publications specializing in various sciences, both religious and scientific. In addition to its services, there are digital browsing devices, as the digital library of the Prophet's Mosque contains 82,000 books. Among its services is an audio listening section, as this section is rich in audio information on the Prophet's Sunnah, fatwas, scholars' interpretations, and other lectures and sermons related to the Two Holy Mosques. In addition to the library's many features, there are units specialized in the elderly and children.

The library also offers welcome gifts to visitors and children, including CDs, bookmarks, audio recordings explaining the text of Ajrumiyyah, and many other symbolic gifts.

The Library of the Prophet's Mosque also launches a variety of programs, such as Arabic Language Day, the art of Arabic calligraphy, and religious educational programs featuring lectures by a number of eminent scholars about the Prophet's Mosque. This has made the library a destination and a destination for all those who are well-informed, readers, and others who reside in the Kingdom, or those coming and seeking knowledge from the Arab and Islamic worlds, or even non-Arabs, due to the library's wealth of publications in various languages.

The library currently occupies a prestigious position among libraries throughout the Arab world, not just in the Kingdom, due to its absolute importance in providing the information necessary for research and studies in the Islamic world. It is considered a cultural and intellectual reference, and a testament to the truth of the Islamic religion, its teachings, and its books.
