Al Qasimia University announced a new scholarship program for international students wishing to pursue their university education in the United Arab Emirates for fall 2024.
The university explained that students accepted from outside the country will enjoy a monthly stipend determined by the university, and the monthly stipend will be disbursed in the summer to registered students only. The university will also bear the travel ticket expenses for students from the countries from which they travel to study, in addition to providing health insurance and housing on campus.
The university confirmed that the controls for the continuation of the scholarship include registering in each semester, not dropping out of study, and that the student’s semester and cumulative GPA should not be less than 2.00 points.
Regarding the Intensive Arabic Language Program for Non-Native Speakers, students must successfully complete the program in one academic year, otherwise university regulations regarding the majors available to them will apply.
The university's statement concluded by emphasizing that adherence to university regulations, laws, and behavioral and ethical controls is necessary for students benefiting from the scholarship.
It is worth noting that the Ruler of Sharjah, along with the trustees of the University Council, approved 400 scholarships for international students last year.
