announced Turkish Scholarships Authority<\/a> The scholarship program will start in mid-January 2019, for all academic degrees and various specializations. Its website,<\/a> Applications close on February 20th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Authority stipulates that applicants for the undergraduate stage (bachelor\u2019s degree) must have completed high school or be in the final semester of the stage with a GPA of no less than 70 % for engineering and literary specializations, and no less than 90 % for medical specializations, and that they must not be older than 21 years of age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applicants for postgraduate studies (Master's, PhD) must have a minimum GPA of 75 % and be under 30 years of age for Master's and 35 years of age for PhD. Final-year undergraduate students may apply for scholarships provided they submit a statement proving they are close to graduating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the event of preliminary acceptance, applicants will be notified of the interview method and date by email. The interview will be conducted face-to-face at Turkish diplomatic missions in the applicant's country, or via communication channels if such missions do not exist in the applicant's country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Turkish government provides scholarship winners with one-way airfare, housing, health insurance, university fees, and a monthly stipend of 700 Turkish liras (131$) for bachelor\u2019s degrees, 950 liras (177$) for master\u2019s degrees, and 1400 liras (261$) for doctorates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winners will undergo Turkish language courses for a full year before joining the specializations, which are distributed as follows: 105 Turkish universities<\/a> Between governmental and private in 55 Turkish cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
